Tunde J. Afolabi, MFR is an illustrious investor and business man, with a fervent belief in the development and attainment of the African potential. He is actively engaged in the creation of opportunities for economic development, especially employment for the continent’s young population.
His interests span economic sectors including energy, oil and gas, power, real estate, manufacturing and financial services and, in addition to Eczellon Group, he sits on the board of directors and advisors of various tier one companies across the globe, notably as the Chairman of Amni International Petroleum Development Company Limited, a leading petroleum exploration and production company.
Chief Afolabi is a qualified geologist with a degree (in Geology) from Franklin & Marshall College, Pennsylvania, and a Master’s degree in the same field from Tulane University, New Orleans. He is also a Doctor of Technology from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in Ogbomoso. His professional career spans over 40 years, with time at institutions such as Texaco Inc and Mobil.
He is a member of several professional bodies and also active supporter of non-partisan socio-political engagements across Africa.
He has also been involved in a lead role on various PPP and public sector projects including power sector privatization, federal and state road concessions, and the establishment of industrial parks. He is an expert in corporate finance, business and financial advisory.
